We start of paying minmum wage but have a pay scale structure as you compelte different qulifications. 


We are currently looking for a Trainee Swimming Teacher to join our team. This role is open to anyone over the age of 16 years old and is a great start for anyone wanting to work within the leisure industry or with children.  


This role is perfect to fit around school and college work or to start you on a new career path. All training and qualifications will be provided therefore, this job is open to anyone over the age of 16 to apply for.

What does the training involve?


A Trainee Swimming Teacher will work with our qualified swimming teacher team, before undertaking the STA Level 2 Award in Swim Teaching. This course will teach the Trainee Swimming Teachers how to work with children in the water and the basic techniques of swim teaching.


After completing this course, the Trainee Swimming Teacher will take the STA Level 2 Pool Emergency Responder Course. The course will teach the Trainee Swimming Teachers how to perform vital rescue skills, including first aid and CPR. This course will also allow the right candidate the chance to work on shift as a Pool Supervisor. 


These courses are nationally recognised qualifications. The Trainee Teachers will work with qualified Swimming Teachers to run their own classes and to develop their skills in the water.


There will be further training opportunities to undertake specialist qualifications such as Baby and Pre-school, working with people with disabilities and moving into swim coaching.


What qualities are we looking for?

  • Reliable and punctual;
  • Able to work during school term time;
  • An interest in swimming;
  • No previous experience or qualifications are needed.
