The eight-hour Swimming Pool Water Treatment qualification is more in-depth than a water testing course; covering the basic principles of the treatment of swimming pool water and enabling them to correctly test swimming pool and spa water.

This qualification is ideal for those who complete routine water testing and need to have general knowledge of swimming pool water treatment; it’s also the perfect stepping stone for those considering a career in pool maintenance and management, before they embark on our full Pool Plant Operations course.

What to Expect on the Course

This course is primaryly a class room bassed course, there is no need to get into the water to undertake water testing. However, it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing. 

One the course please bring with you the following items:

• Pen and paper
• A packed lunch

Your course manual will be provided on the course. This consists of various questions that will be completed throughout the day. These will be checked by the course tutor.

Examination process

The course tutor will evaluate all teachers on the skills throughout the Safety Award for Teachers course on their practical skills and help to complete a portfolio of evidence.'

Prerequisites

• Be at least 16 years of age
