Help us train new swimming teachers this October half term

Join us for our trainee swimming teachers lessons

Did you know that alongside teaching lessons many of our Senior Teachers are also qualified to lead a wide range of aquatic courses, including training new swimming teachers for Neptune and many other swim schools? To qualify our trainee swimming teachers need practice in teaching children during their time on the the course. That's where we need your help!

Swimming lessons with our trainees.

Our expert team will have spent 28 hours training our new swimming teachers so they are ready to teach their first lessons before qualifying as fully fledged swimming teachers! Team Neptune will be on hand to supervise the lessons and evaluate the trainee teachers as part of their course. Each trainee teacher will need between 4 and 6 children in each of their lessons.

How you can help!

The sessions will run at Starfish Hydrotherapy Pool, Malmesbury Road, Chippenham, Wiltshire

Baby and Preschool lessons (10 weeks to 3 years)

Parents will need to be in the water their children during these lessons, and you don't need to be a member of Neptune Swim School to join in.

Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th October between 9.00am and 11.15am

Group based lessons (parents to watch from poolside)

Ducklings (3-5years), Turtles (5 years plus), Jellyfish

Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th, Friday 29th October between 9.00am and 11.30am

With the exception of our Baby and Preschool lessons your child will need to swim with Neptune to take part. We'll put them into a class at the same level as their current lessons. Each lesson will be half an hour long and there's no limit to the number of lessons you can book, so if you'd like your child to stay and swim all morning that's fine, or they could even swim for an hour every day over the three days. As well as helping us out the lessons will be great extra swimming practice for your child!

How to sign up

If you'd like your child to join lessons and you'll need to book online, letting us know how many 30 min sessions you'd like to attend. Each session will cost £1 per child.

We look forward to seeing lots of you in the water.
